On Tuesday, September 26, Daryl Hall and John Oates will perform at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater as part of their 2017 tour. The pair is playing at 29 arenas and is co-headlining with English pop rock band Tears For Fears. It took a lot of work to become the number-one selling duo in music history. Hall & Oates started out with a love for soul music and didn’t stop chasing till they hit the top. From the mid-70s to mid-80s, the group produced six #1 singles like “Maneater,” “I Can’t Go For That,” and “Private Eyes.” In addition to six consecutive multi-platinum albums, the duo is one of the most sampled artists to date. Today, Hall & Oates have appeared in shows like “American Idol,” “Dancing With The Stars,” “The Voice,” and the movie “You Again.” In 2007, Daryl Hall started a monthly web series entitled “Live From Daryl’s House.” The series features Hall and various guest musicians playing music together at – none other than – Daryl’s house. The series won a Webby Award in the Variety category in 2010.
