ACTFest19

The Alabama Conference of Theatre’s Annual Community Theatre Festival (ACTFest) will be held November 2-4, 2018, in the Bean-Brown Theatre (also known as Theatre Tuscaloosa) on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College.

The theatre companies participating in this year’s festival will present a maximum 60-minute performance which can consist of an entire one-act play or cutting/selection from a full-length play.

Details On The Performances

According to the festival’s Facebook page, each theatre company “must fit all its scenery and props into a 10-foot by 10-foot square before its performance. The rules require companies to set up during a 10-minute window, perform during a 60-minute window, and breakdown and return their sets to their 10 by 10 squares during a final 10-minute strike window.”

Three independent judges will determine which productions from the festival go on to represent the state of Alabama at SETC which will take place from February 27 through March 3, 2019, in Knoxville, TN.
